Set in a residential housing development, Mountain View Estates investigates the well-stocked cupboards and perfectly organized garages of suburban Washington State. The protagonist is an authoritarian homeowner who oversees a crew on the construction of her dream home. Quickly tiring of her obsessive pursuit of perfection, they decide to do her in. Through the visceral language of dance and a house built live onstage, Mountain View Estates asks what happens when a group exists without a true leader?
